Lack of water could be the reason you’re in a bad mood. This is probably because dehydration negatively affects blood flow to the brain, resulting in mood changes, fatigue, and concentration problems.
You have a smelly breath.
Dehydration lowers your saliva production, allowing the bacteria in your mouth to multiply and cause halitosis. Lack of saliva means there is not enough fluid to wash away food particles sitting on your tongue, teeth, and gums.
You crave sweets.
If you suddenly want to eat sweets, it could be due to dehydration. Note that dehydration causes your body to experience difficulty in producing glycogen, leading to sweet cravings. It is also easy to mistake thirst for hunger, especially after a workout.
You can’t work out properly.
Having difficulties completing your normal routine could mean that your body needs water. Dehydration affects your blood pressure, causing your heart to work harder. This can decrease exercise capacity, which then affects your ability to work out properly.
Your skin is dry.
Lack of water, as well as consumption of alcohol and caffeine, can cause dry skin. They also affect the production of protective oils needed to keep the skin moist. If lotion or moisturizer is not enough to hydrate your skin, drinking more water may be the solution.
Your body loses water through different ways such as digestion, sweating, and even breathing. This makes it important to drink more water or consume foods that contain water. Doing so will not just not give you more energy, but also help you stay and look healthy.
